^^ sorry ssj12 but I am with everyone who sayes PC gaming is more expencive than console gaming... at least here it is, if you want to play newer games you have to spent 250 euros on your graphics card alone... thats what I spent for my 360 on ebay and I will be playing games on it for a long time, if I upgraded my computer I would have payed way more and would need to upgrade sooner. Even my buddy who is a big PC fan is concidering a 360 to hold him over since he is fed up with upgrading, PCs rock no question but you do need to pay the price.

you can manage with an 8400GS or 8500GT... for under $80 US. Upgrading every 2 years or so...who cares.  You will rarely need a compete overhaul.

PC gaming is better than console gaming. Always.     We are Anonymous, We are Legion    Kick-ass interview   Great Flash Series Here    Anime Ratings     Make and Play Please

^^ I´m not a fan of the 8400GS or 8500GT, they are hardly any better than my 7800GS so I guess I´d have to upgrade pretty soon, besides if I wanted to play games like Assasins Creed or COD4 (which I can on my 360) I would need more Ram (50-80euros) and a new mainboard with a CPU (150-200euros), combin that with a somewhat good graphics card (100-150euros) thats 300-400 euros... and I can´t even play crysis... with the 360 I know I´m not upgrading till at least 2010 and thats the way it should be. As long as I can play Starcraft 2 I´m happy with my PC :)

Actually the PC software sales did not drop by 3% since the BIU does not cover online platforms like the German gamesload.de or the popular Steam.

Mobile phone = cell phone

and ssj12, PC gaming is much cheaper in the US for some reason. You can find that out just by browsing regional websites. When shopping around for my PC and its components I was pissed off how cheap some American delivery only sites were.

not really as the rpices typically even out  Like the 9800GX2 for exampe.  Its supposed to be like 299 Euros or $599USD.

299€ and 599$? That's quite a lot cheaper in Europe. I think you were meaning 399, which would take the 399 to around 450€ in retail because of taxes. I believe that 599$ graphichs processor isn't in your 450$ setup? If i buy a PC from a store, the price usually ranges from 500 to 1000€, when Wii costs 250-270€. Vista makes easilly 200€ of the PC:s price. Now, as a PC gamer, you must know, that you basically need to upgrade your PC constantly. You buy new GPU to get your new game to run decently, and when the next game comes out, you need more RAM, after that for the next game more VRAM, next new CPU, etc. This is when you make it cheap and keep the PC at the somewhat minimum level required. If you want your PC to run games for few years, you need to invest shitload of money for the upgrade. PC:s advantage over consoles is cheaper games, but looking at new Wii games prices and new PC games prices, there really isn't much difference anymore. PC gaming does have it's own advantages and it fits for people who like to play with the hardware, but if you want to go the easy route, consoles fit for that much better. And one thing why PC gaming is so big, is that people have their PC:s already for other purposes, so why not buy a game for it.
