To be fair, this is essentially just a 'remaster' (a downgraded one at that) and it's a New 3DS exclusive, which eliminates hype from the majority of the 3DS user base.

Regardless, I'm very hyped considering I've never played it before and it's so inexpensive in comparison to the original. Also, I just like gaming on the 3DS more than the Wii for the most part.

Looks like a fair score. If I didn't have it on Wii, I would definitely buy it.

An 8 is great in my book. So that's a very great score.

Looks like we might have our first "bad" review from an Italian site:

"It may not be the worst porting in history of videogames, but it comes pretty close. Xenoblade Chronicles 3D is still a great game, but we strongly advise you to play it on Wii."

They still gave it 7/10 however.

I agree with what a lot of people have said. This game is a masterpiece. I just finished it over the course of a year with my limited time to commit to it. Such an epic game and it really sucks you into it's world. I have it up there with Xenogears, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VI (strictly JRPG speaking).

Them giving what they consider 'close to the worst port ever' a 7/10 is a testament to how good the game is. It can't possibly be nearly as bad as the PS3 version of SOM though. When your frame-rate is frequently closer to 0 than 30, you dun goof'd something.

Anyway, Nintendo really need to get the original XC on the WiiU's VC. It should already be on there by now.

A bit surprising. I suppose the down grade wasn't enough to destroy an otherwise godlike game.

That one site saying this is the worst port in history obviously hasn't played many after-the-fact ports xD.
