It's a shame DC was selling at the pace of WiiU really, its library was so much better than Wii U, that console got such diverse games. Sega went all out supporting that console. They produced a classic in nearly every genre in just 2 years.

Granted Wii U too deserves better sales, but DC should've been selling a 100 million.

Sega made a classic in nearly every genre for the Dreamcast? Such as?

  • RPG - Skies of Arcadia
  • Racing - Ferrari F355 Challenge
  • Fighting - Virtua Fighter 3tb
  • Puzzle - Chu Chu Rocket
  • Platform - Sonic Adventure
  • Adventure - Shenmue 1 and 2
  • Music - Samba De amigo
  • Online - Phatasy Star Online
  • Arcade - Too many to list
  • Other - Jet Set Radio

  • RPG - Skies of Arcadia(ok maybe)
  • Racing - Ferrari F355 Challenge(arcade port, hardly anyone considers it a classic ala Gran Turismo, Super Mario Kart etc
  • Fighting - Virtua Fighter 3tb(arcade port, again, was not revered at the time and still isn't now even though I love it)
  • Puzzle - Chu Chu Rocket(very subjective, certainly is no Tetris/Minesweeper)
  • Platform - Sonic Adventure(plays horribly now, it is no Super Mario 64)
  • Adventure - Shenmue 1 and 2(got mixed reception during the time. failed to live up to the hype)
  • Music - Samba De amigo(lol seriously?)
  • Online - Phatasy Star Online(probably a pioneer in online console RPG gaming, not sure about classic game though)
  • Arcade - Too many to list(Arcade isn't a genre. That said, those games were not DC exclusive)
  • Other - Jet Set Radio(eh, I can't see this game being brought up with the likes of Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario Bros. Megaman III, Ocarina of time, MGS, Resident Evil 1/2, Goldeneye, GTA III etc...

I personally think the DC had no exclusive classics. Some great games? Totally. But none that were innovative and timeless enough that they changed future gaming
