Nope. The media don't seem at all interested in the China release of the PS4, which is kind of odd considering the PS4 was expected to sell more. It's almost as if it didn't happen.

Nothing yet. And technically, the first week is not over yet The PS4 launched on the 20th, so we may hear something from Sony by next weekend (or the next time Sony updates the PS4's sold-through figures).


Thanks guys. It's weird nothing has reported yet. The whole media were covering the x-box numbers on its chinese launch.

Not that I really care, because I think the discussion is well, dumb.  But, the 'enemy' in CoD didn't change because of some nefarious US Government plot.  The 'enemy' changed because people were tired of killing Nazi's.

It's not looking like we're going to get any concrete numbers. Obviously Sony doesn't see it as important just yet but the PS4 must have sold more than 50k, surely? In which case it's still a good number compared to Japan.

It's tough to say. All I've seen is speculation stating it will have a better launch than the X1 due to its lack of serious region locking

I think it had a better launch than the XB1 thanks to better reception among Chinese consumers and the (near) lack of region locking. Either we'll hear some numbers by this weekend or Sony will give China a mention the next time it updates its sold-through numbers.

Looks like there are Chinese developers making games for the PS4. Here's a video on Xiake Fengyun Zhuan, an RPG that is scheduled for a summer release.

And you also put your weapons down and reason with them too.

What about COD:MW2?  In that game English special forces are forced to kill currupt American soldiers.  Should America ban this game because they can't differentiate from fact and fiction?

Does China (and do you) really believe that countries have to be portrayed as incapable of doing wrong?
