Gattling gun guy in the tower is fucking me right in the throat.

Yeah he's a hard mofo whose bullets can reach you everywhere. And then there's a hunter somewhere on the ground too... Just ignore him and go straight up the tower and kick him off.

I just got to this part, too, he's not as annoying as you'd think, but still unpleasant.

And this whole debate is precisely why I prefer GameRankings to Metacritic. It actually accounts for up to two decimal places, so when a game like Bloodborne comes along and straddles the line between 91 and 92, you know it's at 91.95%.

That's actually one of the reasons i don't like Game Ranking :p It's bad enough having people argue about the 'difference' between digits on a 100 point scale; extending that to 10,000 is just silly. That they also tend to have a smaller sample size makes it hard to use them as a relative too.

I can't say i put a whole lot of weight in either, but of the two i'll almost always pick MC.

You need to kirk hammer or heavy hunter axe swing his ass off that tower lol. Also pro tip use the torch to keep the bestlings at bay

I just lost all my souls to that hunter at the base of the tower. Kind of a huge shame, but I'm sure I'll beat the hell out of him once I Get up there

Bloodborne grasping for dear life to hold that 93%. Keeps going back up.

It's nice to see new IPs getting high scores this gen. Gives me hope for the future I guess.

i predicted it would end up at 93 when it was all said and done, and i stand by that since i belive this game totally deserves that score, and the more i play it the more im convinced about that.

thanks Hyper Magazine for the 100

Update the Title OP, Bloodborne at 93% !  :D

The Latest Review of today I believe :

100/100 from Hyper Magazine !

''Miyazaki’s philosophy of levelling the player rather than the virtual protagonist is an incredibly powerful approach when achieved. Bloodborne injects enough new mechanics to the mix that it feels like you’re learning to drive with a new range of gears. Mastery of this system is the goal, with immeasurable pleasure and pride the reward. While it’s no longer possible to shield-inch your way through the game, the attack prompts of each enemy type makes gun-parrying feel so right. So too the lock-on dash, which acts as both an attack lunge and get-out-the-way slide. You’re the hunter here, so you must be more aggressive. As you slowly overcome Yarnham’s challenges, you earn Insight, an aspect that, at high levels, makes enemies tougher, imbues them with new elemental attacks and slowly drives your character insane. Quite how Insight is to be explored is still a mystery, but it hints as some kind of “truth” regarding what your true mission might be, if indeed you actually have one.

Yarnham’s beasts, such as you perceive them, are far from fulfilled, far from where they should be. You are a lightning bolt through the filth, a hammer fall to the corrupt, hunter and ostensible saviour. You must bear witness, through death and resurrection, experience and insight. Find the source of the scourge, or pay the price of eternal night.''
