Definitely not bland. I was really close to marrying her, but waited to explore my options, went with Tiki in the end because I wanted my kid to be a dragon, and also thought her conversations with Robin were really cute. There were so many good characters though.
I guess Ninja/Thief are my favourites. Speed is the most valuable stat in most RPGs, especially when it influences turns and/or augment your escape. Taking hits is just an option =D

: ) Yeah! You recognize the greatness that is Miriel. Though I oddly paired her with muscle head Vaike, haha! They seemed to get along well ; ) I married Cordelia myself. Her color theme is mostly red, which I gravitate too, and I wanted her kid. So cute and cold, haha.

Yeah, dodging and enemies having such a low hit rate is so so satisfying. : )

Woah, now that`s a class I am not familar with... which game has that class??? It sounds really cool! : D |
Dungeons and Dragons, 4th Edition : )
No game has done the concept quite so well as there, but Dokapon Kingdom (essentially Mario Party RPG) had something similar, and lots of games have swordsman who can cast spells. Almost none truly capture the idea of a true magical swordsman for whom the sword itself is the implement of magic and their entire concept is around doing magic with the sword itself.

Oh yeah, I think I did that pairing too! Cordelia is awesome, though I forget who I paired her with.

If a game has a merchant class, it usually becomes my main. In Ragnarok Online, I had high level Knights but I stayed on my Alchemist the most. Alchemist and Blacksmith both start as Merchants and they both have a move where they'd attack with money. Expensive but powerful.
On topic, Monks are often awesome at dealing damage. I also like Ninja a lot because many games give them the first move/attack. In Suikoden 2, the Ninja girl almost never left my party because she always got to use her deadly Shrike still before the enemy got a chance.

Anything with a dragon in, or the Swordmage thing from Bravely Default. Still can't believe their costumes in that...
The alchemist in said game is also neat.

Oh man, D&D... It's so great! xD AND you know Dokapon??? Maaaan! Are you talking about the Spellsword class? The story takes forever to complete, but Dokapon is really fun to play.
Hmm, from your definition of it, it kind of sounds like you're describing a spell fencer from Bravely Default. They can cast spell effects to their weapons, such as an element, silence, sleep, and so on. It sounds like an uncommon class, but a cool at that : )
