Why is everybody expecting so much from PS4's March sales in the US? I mean yes, Bloodborne will probably be a great game, though it won't be a system seller because it isn't the type of game that have that big of an audience. Unfortunately.
And the other 2 major releases are FF type-0 and BF: Hardline and let's be honest, these 2 are nothing to write home about.

But you can't forget that in February PS4 have seriusly close this number's.

February is bigger than March because Tax season, so i'm not surprised if PS4 will sell less than in February, but 362,000 is very possible this time.

I will go with a yes.

*shakes crystal ball*

3.....8.....0.....

Yep, I'm predicting 410k

Hmm, it depends on the games coming out that month. Also, I forgot, but how well did PS4 do in Feb?

But it is the first FF game on PS4, and it is the only platform on which Type 0 will ever appear in the USA, and pre-orders get to play the FF XV demo. So even with a fairly ordinary game in the FF series I expect it to move a decent number of consoles. Whether that actually amounts to enough of a boost to get it past 362K is another question, but with adding in Bloodborne and BF HL it is a pretty good chance.

PS4 got to 345K last March. Even though PS4 is down YoY in the USA so far, this month's game line up could make PS4 an up month compared to last year. I think people calling for a 400K month are really stretching it.

It needs becuase PS2 just passed it in US... PS4 needs to reclaim the top spot again.

System sellers don't necessarily have to sell 5m in order to sell systems. They're games that people buy a system to play. For that week of release, the dedicated fanbase of that title who do not have the system to buy that game, go out and buy the system+game. Of course their are also other games they also want to play on said system coming out or already released.

What we know of the Souls series is that it have a very strong cult following who are too big to be called "niche", but of course its not massive like Mario, Halo, Uncharted etc. We also know that hack and slash actions games/RPGs haven't been abundant on PS4 so its conceivable that fair proportion of the fans of these kind of games haven't yet updated and this presents an opportunity to do so.

In regard to the latter 2 titles you mentioned, good but less than stellar reviews haven't stopped massive franchises from succeeding in the past. Assassins Creed Unity sold fine despite it being "broken" and certainly sold systems. Both aren't quite mainline entrys so they may fall far short of expectation but theres still potential there.

There is not other game like Bloodborne in PS4/Xbone/Wii U.

The Souls's fanbase will buy a PS4 for that game.

So system seller it is.
