Forums - Nintendo - Pokemon Generation 7 Wishlist!

Excuse me if things have been added to gen 6 already, I am a little out of touch with Pokemon. Here's my wishlist!

-50 more new pokemon (better designs than the new X and Y pokemon please)

-HD 720p on Nintendos next handheld

-50 new moves

-all mega evolutions present, no more adding a couple more per game

-much longer story mode (huge region)

-Easy and hard mode (the new Pokemon games are too easy but kids may want an easy mode)

-only one new legendary in the new game (too many legendaries as it is)

-incorporate gameplay mechanics from every game! (desert googles, underwater diving, vines, rock smash, rock climb, bicycles, fishing rod etc.)

-more character customization

-more items

-more timed events that only occur at certain times

-music similar to ruby/sapphire

I want overal focus to be on the region and length of the game (similar to gold and silver back in the day). the competitive players are here to stay (competitiveness was main focus of gen 6).

who's with me??

I'd mostly just like to see them be more adventurous. I've played and enjoyed almost every major Pokemon release, but they've become incredibly formulaic. I feel like we now see more differences between yearly Call of Duty releases than we do Pokemon generations. If they keep this pace up for another 10 years i doubt i'll have much interest in the series anymore.

They don't need to dramatically change the series, million still enjoy the foundation it's built on, but it would be nice to see stuff like larger and more open worlds, better realized environments, more unique locations (such as the Battle Frontier), less restrictive battle system, deep side stories, etc.

Would also be nice if they could make the grind towards training the 'perfect' version of a Pokemon less of a pain (or at least more interesting). EV's and IV's will be the death of me.

I agree the games could use more creativity in the environments. I like having two regions like heart gold. maybe on their next game they can start having regions the size of two!

I agree with everything except for the only one legendary part. Having many legendaries gives me more stuff to hunt for in the aftergame.

Also, I want a proper aftergame story. Something like the Delta Episode. X/Y's aftergame was terrible and I hope they'll never do somehing like that again.

I played Ruby and Emerald a lot and I can say that ORAS improved the original story (and pretty much everything else as well) by a lot. You should try it out, it's worth it :)

Well, I've seen 3DS bundles for 110$. I'd look out for deals like that as the 3DS has many, many great games.

hmmm 3dsxl here is 160 dollars new + tax + 40 dollar game. that would be around 240 dollars for the old version of the system. a New3dsxl + omega ruby would be 300 dollars after tax. kind of crazy!
