I'm kinda totally confused, what the hell is this story of a new console????? Are they dropping Wii U already? Damn I was so fucking planning to buy one in the next 2 years, was just deciding between Wii U and New 3DS XL (which I would have already bought if it had released during last xmas)!

The sole purpose of this thread is to smear Wii U/3DS with FUD, provoke Nintendo fans, and start a console war.

Stay calm. They are NOT dropping Wii U.

They simply said that they are currently working on a new dedicated gaming system, to squash rumours that they are abandoning hardware. By their own admission, they are always thinking about new hardware, from the moment the current one hits store shelves. They have a division whose sole job it is to plan the next thing.

They even said they'll share more info on it next year, so it's not hitting any time soon.

It happens a lot here too, I see all kinds of people that don't play Nintendo games here claiming we'll be playing Zelda games with nothing but touchpad controls soon.

I guess they forgot about the DS Zelda games though.

The same reasons on why most people are buying remakes this gen. Only about 10 million own the Wii U. That would mean quite a bit of people would not have played either game.

Yeah this latest news has brought the haters out of the woodwork in force.

Most remakes this generation are for games released 10-20 years ago. If the Wii U's successor sells so vastly more than the Wii U, it is probably not because of people who are interested in these games. It's not like these titles will be limited releases like the original Xenoblade.

the next home system won't come out until 2017. By then they would have had at least 2 years of development on the next console Zelda and who knows what Monolith soft will have done by then.

These are Wii U games, they wont be delayed to the next system which wont be out for atleast another year and a half to 2 years. Seriously, why are all these rumors coming out?
