Looking at those numbers, probably the N64.

Don't forget that N64 have sold more PS1 by a huge margin by starting of gen, and it is also above XBO and close with PS4 for now!

What's the 3DS at right now?

Hmmm. If 3DS lasts until 2017, I'll go with that. 5m shouldn't be too hard, especially considering the price should go down before it's discontinued.

Not exactly US but this is the official shipments from Nintendo for Americas (North, Central, South)

SNES-23.35 million

N64-20.63 million

3DS-16.77 million

3DS will probably end somewhere right between N64 & SNES.

I'm thinking of that the 3DS will win, but of course, that will depend on when the 3DS will be discontinued..

Yeah I just checked the 3DS's numbers. I never knew they were above 15 million. In that case I think the 3DS will be able to surpass the N64.

Actually, the 20.6 million count for the N64 is for "The Americas," which in Nintendo parlance I would assume includes not only the U.S & Canada but also Latin America. NPD data puts the N64 at about 18 million, consistent with the U.S. typically comprising around 90% of regional Nintendo sales. Here's a more accurate comparison of U.S. sales of the two systems:

Well, after adding up those first four years as well as the roughly 470k it sold this January + February, that puts the 3DS at 18.3 million, and it's still selling. Meanwhile, by the end of 2002 the N64 was at 17.98M, and considering it sold only 150k in all of 2002, it probably didn't get much over 18 million. Assuming the 3DS is flat this year from last year, that puts it at 21 million by the end of this year, already ahead of the total lifetime count of the N64 for the Americas. Overall, the 3DS should pull at least 25 million lifetime in the region.

And I think that's pretty much case closed. The 3DS has likely already beaten the N64 in the U.S. and it's still far from dead.

Are u sure ur not using Japanese 3DS sales?
