Yeah like VXIII said really the 360/ps3's first years were awful.

I disagree with this statement with every single fiber of my body. 360/PS3's first years were awesome.

What games you want to see?

Edit: replied to your wrong comment, lol.

What games were (was?) you interested in?

Compiled a list of exclusive games that were on last-gen compared to this-gen after the same period of time, a lot more on the previous generation but most of them I wouldn't have bothered getting.

For 360 I'd have got PGR3, Dead Rising and Crackdown, XBO would be Forza 5, Sunset Overdrive and MCC. PS3 I'd have got Resistance, Motorstorm, Ratchet and Uncharted. PS4 I got Killzone, Infamous, Driveclub and Last of us.

Also there were FAR LESS crossgen games last generation so perhaps that sways people, though the difference is enough for me to want a ps4 rather than a ps3 to play those games on.

There's less options but I don't think i'd have enjoyed most of what was available last gen (some by experience).

Here's the List:

360

Kameo
Amped 3
PGR 3
Perfect Dark Zero
Ridge Racer 6
Dead or Alive 4
Full Auto
Moto GP 06
Over G Fighters
Chromehounds
Dead Rising
Saints Row
Crackdown
Fusion Frenzy 2
Dance Dance Revolution

XBO

Crimson Dragon
Forza 5
Killer Instinct
Fighter Within
Kinect Sports Rivals
Dance Central Spotlight
Sunset Overdrive
Halo MCC

PS3

Mobile Suit Gundamn Crossfire
Ridge Racer 7
Resistance Fall of Man
NBA 07
Full Auto 2
Motorstorm
Formula One Championship Edition
MLB 07: The Show
Ninja Gaiden Sigma
Warhawk
Lair
Folklore
Heavenly Sword
NBA 08
Ratchet and Clank Tools of Destruction
Time Crisis 4
Uncharted
MLB 08: The Show

PS4

Killzone Shadow Fall
Knack
Infamous Second Son
Infamous First Light
Driveclub
Last of us Remastered
The Order 1886

This gen has been piss all around so far. Wii U has been slightly less piss recently, because its piss has had an extra year to dry off. Still pretty piss, though. Third year in a row that there's been a drought in the first half of the year.

You guys have very specific tastes. Theres a bunch of games on PS4/X-One, from the top of my head I can say Dragon Age inquisition, Child of Light, Infamous Secon Son/First Light, Middle Earth Shadows of Mordor, Order 1886 (a divisive game but plenty of ppl liked it including me), Resident Evil Revelations 2, The Evil Withim and Im only citing PS4 games cause I dont own an X-One.

And we have Type-0 HD, Bloodborne and the Witcher comming in the nearish future. Also PS4 still has Until Down anounced for this year and if you like story driven adventure games we have more seasons of Life is Strange, Tales From the Borderlands and Game of Thrones.

You are listing too many indies to cover up the fact that the library is lackluster in comparison to previous gen.

The only game I'm excited about is Until Dawn because it's unique. It will probably suck like the Order though.

Dragon Age Inquisition - AAA

Child of Light - its not AAA but its not indie, its developed by Ubisoft

Infamous - AAA

Shadows of Mordor - AAA

Order 1886 - AAA

Revelations 2 - the budget wasnt hughe but it had a budget and a somewhat long production time its an AA game

The Evil Withim - AAA

Type-0 HD - AAA but it is a port so Ill give you that

Bloodborne - AAA

Until Down - AAA

Witcher 3 - AAA

Life is Starnge - Indie but it has a nice budget, its not AAA grade budget tough

Teltale games - do we still count Teltale as indie ? They invest a lot in theyre games, production values are high not AAA hight but lets just count this as indie for the sake of simplicity

So outo fo my list only 3 games were indies (wich realy shouldnt matter, since indie games are games all the same), 2 could be classified as AA games and 9 are AAA, so exactly what are you talking about ?

Your statement that only Until Down interests you perfectly ilustrates what said about you guys having very specific tastes. Bloodborne wich is shapping up to be the highest reviewed game of the generation so far is launching in 2 weeks or so and ppl are talking about an early year draught lol. And since we mentioned indie games I got add Transistor to my list, another awesome game.

It doesn't make sense to list only exclusive games though. He is asking about great games in general.

They are being delayed! Just wait people, have some goddamn patience.

"I've Underestimated the Horse Power from Mario Kart 8, I'll Never Doubt the WiiU's Engine Again"

Most of the good games played now were games that were delayed last year. And most of the good games next year will be games that were supposed to be released this year. So its like this image of games constantly never happening on time even though the X86 architecture is supposed to make games come to consoles easier. I think that is a big point of the argument.

But a large chunk of the comments seem to agree that the good games this generation are on Wii U.

8th gen hasn't even started properly for me, just like 7th gen had properly started for me only one and a half years in. I don't own an 8th gen console yet, and I didn't own a 7th gen console at this time either. So for me this doesn't really matter, I have plenty, and I mean PLENTY, of superb seventh gen games to hold me over until 8th gen has built up a good enough library, and that's when it truly starts for me.

Besides, if you look at past gens, it's not like their line up was great at this point in time either.
