We go through this period every generation. I don't think I need to remind you of how many promising games that are coming this year.

Same, been enjoying it a lot. Although I'm very easy to please. 

Yeah like VXIII said really the 360/ps3's first years were awful.

I'm very easy to please as well, but I don't feel compelled to upgrade right now, and software has something to do with it. (Money as well, duh, but still...)

Damn, never compared the first two years of this gen with the first two of last gen. That paints a pretty sad picture. I'm staying hopeful though!

You guys have very specific tastes. Theres a bunch of games on PS4/X-One, from the top of my head I can say Dragon Age inquisition, Child of Light, Infamous Secon Son/First Light, Middle Earth Shadows of Mordor, Order 1886 (a divisive game but plenty of ppl liked it including me), Resident Evil Revelations 2, The Evil Withim and Im only citing PS4 games cause I dont own an X-One.

And we have Type-0 HD, Bloodborne and the Witcher comming in the nearish future. Also PS4 still has Until Down anounced for this year and if you like story driven adventure games we have more seasons of Life is Strange, Tales From the Borderlands and Game of Thrones.

The WiiU has some, but even then it's not enough. The 7th gen didn't start that well either, so all we can really do is wait!

People just can't wait for Rocket League to come out, can't they?

You are listing too many indies to cover up the fact that the library is lackluster in comparison to previous gen. 

The only game I'm excited about is Until Dawn because it's unique. It will probably suck like the Order though.
