3DS + Vita = 50M + 10M (since 2011)

And other comments have already showed it. Don't try to dismiss the 3DS. Nintendo won this month. Accept it and move.


Excuse me but my thread was made about 2015 sales not just February. One month comparisons are not relevant.  I'll update this thread every month.  

Do you know what happens to the sales of a console when a new revision is announced? People wait until that revision is released, so the sales go momentarily down.

Of course I did.  I'm not crazy for starters and secondly I like to post on a videogame site that discusses sales.  Seemed like the perfect place for this.

Yeah and they go exponentially up for the release.  Meaning comparing the 2 months makes perfect sense.  Don't worry March will be included in this too.

N3DS launched earlier in Japan and Australia.

Comparing them doesn't make sense. Everyone knows the PS4 will sell more this year. This thread is pointless.

That's good I guess, I know shit about how Nintendo portables historically sell through the years, but PlayStation consoles sell their best on Years 3-5 (Year 2 being comparable to 5), so PS4 next 3 years should be amazing.

Look at total software of the 3ds.  Dominated by the ps3 and ps4. The 360 too. 

 

Doom doesn't have to be instant.  The 3ds needed it's price slashed instantly and will end up less than half of the 3ds. The next HH will continue to decline.  I never claimed instant doom, but the market is only going 1 way. If Nintendo sticks with a dedicated HH console next gen,  they will alienate themselves even more by the time that gen is over.  


Pls stop. Are you really forgetting Support here?Look at how many games each system gets. HHs get close to no third party support compared to consoles.

Ok but 3DS still managed over 50mil, and even if next HH declined to 30mil, they still be fine. When somebody left the Hardware market, was there HW over 30mil or even close to it? No.

Pokemon/MH/etc will also not allow HHs to die.

No guarantee? With sales like 3-4mil on 3DS im pretty sure they'll be on the next HH. DQ does well on ps consoles so it could have the main games but im sure thy'll be 2-4 titles on the next HH. It be a completely stupid decision to not put it on Next Nintendo HH, unless they want to lose a bunch of money.

Yeah, nooo..... 3DS is the only system actually doing remarkably well there. 3DS will have a minimum of 21mil sales in japan Let me refresh your memory...

HW Sales

3DS is currently the 5th highest selling Gaming system of all time in japan. Its going to place at least 4th which will be close to PS2 (23mil+ figure) GB/DS only 2 that broke records (30mil+ each)

SW Sales

3DS Million Sellers= 17 Titles (and Counting)

PS2 Million Sellers= 20 Titles

PS3 Million Sellers= 2 Titles

PSP Million Sellers= 4 Titles

PS4 Million Sellers= *2 (FFXV+DQXI are guaranteed) maybe 2-3 more

 

You cant argue 3DS sales at all in japan. Nothing will come close, you can add Everything else together and it wont beat 3ds this gen

I think you will find plenty of teens will buy a ps4. I said cause a little rumble for a reason because I expect them to push for one of the big games they don't currently have.  

 

But the reality is smartphones are taking over.  That is why the future is bleak.  Maybe nintendo will become a smartphone manufacturer and live on. Who knows.
