I got it at 6:15 p.m. in So. Cal.
Gamestop closes at 6 so they were closed and I knocked on the door until one of the employee helped me to get it.
I pre-ordered and paid in full so it wasn't a problem.
It turns out that my copy was the last one they had left. (Yes, the last one to pick it up!)
Little worried about the problem this game has been having - gamestop employee said that there's 3-5% chance of it not working.

Mine works!
I don't like the game at all but my kids are playing it right now.

Anyone have troubles finding a copy? 

I was also at walmart they had a glass display with a countdown timer was pretty cool ...was a line of about 10-12 ppl i was proably 6th in line. They had about 30+ copies left when I left with mines.

"I got it." The store from which I purchased Brawl received 140 copies and all of them were sold by the afternoon.

I FKN GOT BRAWL! I was in ecstasy state, almost passed out and laughed just from pure euphoria. It was like a drug. I barely could walk!

I went and bought it at 9pm. I called my Wal Mart at that time and asked for the electronics department, then asked the guy if they had it. He responds "Ha, oh yess we do!"

Got it at the midnight launch yesterday and have been playing it ever since. I beat SSE just a little while ago (took just around 9 hours) and have played a little online.

SSE wasn't the best thing in the world but still had fun with it and there's no possible way to be unhappy with the actual Brawl part.

My kids wanted me to play it so I did.
It's cool, but since I didn't read on this game too much I was surprised to see that the motion-sensor doesn't work so it's hard to play with it.

Thank God I saved few GC controllers.

 Are you talking about the remote and nunchuck control scheme?

To use the motion sension you have to go into the control menu and turn on the shake to do smash option (forget what it's actually called).  I actually don't mind this configuration and I think after getting use to it I might actually like it.
