It's just the timing. Zelda launched and ended Wii. It will fall in the middle of Wii U's life.

Harsh OP IMO.
A Link Between Worlds isn't a "rehash". It's practically "New Super Zelda Bros". However although nostalgic in direction, a fantastic game in it's own right.
2 very welcome remakes of some fantastic (and in Majora's Mask's case, overlooked) Zelda games.
I'll agree, Wind Waker HD was a joke, not even 60fps ffs.
But then the new Zelda looks like it could be a big departure from previous stuff too. I actually think it's been a great generation for Zelda so far.

I'll do it then, have you played the recent entries?
Eh, you are looking at generations rather than years. Ocarina 3D was released before Skyward Sword. Also, you forgot Four Swords Anniversary Edition -- as a DSiWare game, it counts as a part of the DS generation. So from 2006 to 2011 (6 years) there were four new games and two remakes. No Zelda released in 2012. The period from 2013-2018 so far has two new games and two remakes, and we're only halfway through.
But I do agree there have been too many remakes lately.

OP will have great difficulty making me believe he's owned a Zelda game made after 6th gen.
| Cloudman said: Huh? What's the problem? They brought back 2 Zelda games that haven't been touched since the N64 and reintroduced to a generation that may have completely missed those 2 games. LBW was one of the best Zelda games I played in a long time, and then there's Zelda U, which is looking to be an awesome game. Hyrule Warriors, that was a cool interesting way to expand the franchise to a different kind of game. Am I missing something? No problem here. o: |
Not entirely true there m'dear, there was the collector's edition on the NGC, and both are up on the Wii's shop for download. They are also two of the most popular N64 ROMs on the internet.

Mostly 3D Zelda games. Of those, OoT (complete), MM (complete), WW (~10 hours), TP (<2 hours), SS (>20 hours).
The most recent 2D Zelda game I've played is PH, and not recently.
I believe in honesty, civility, generosity, practicality, and impartiality.

That`s true, although MM as part of the collection seems a little hard for people to get a hold of. You do have me there on the Wii shop, but at least they redid MM with better visuals and a some extras.
And quite the contrary to my avi, I am in fact not a lady, but a man, at least with the `dear` thing ; )

You'll always be dear to me.
