Basically, is EA a serial killer, and is Visceral next?

Watched this earlier and enjoyed it as always. regarding visceral I've pre ordered hardline so hopefully it sells good.

How many times does EA need to do this before studios get wise and stop selling themselves to it?

I'm not sure its so simple. Especially if those developers have shares or investors calling the shots.

The kill slate at EA though... Pretty much lists all my favourite childhood developers. Westwood, Bullfrog, Maxis... :(

Then my teens with Criterion, Bioware etc.

EA destroyed my youth?

i think Visceral's last shot will be with the star wars game. if it flops (and by flop i mean sell less than 2-2.5 million) then i can see it being closed down. thing is, i dont see Visceral lasting in the long run, not with EA.

Battlefield Hardline is a spin off, if EA expect it to sell as well as main series title then they'd be silly anyway. You have the hardcore fanbase already and the new set of those who played the Beta (there were a lot of them). It'll sell a few million over the consoles, so Visceral is safe.

EDIT: Out of interest I looked to see how many total sales Battlefield 4 had, 12 million over the 5 platforms? Geez that's a lot for a once broken game.

Hmm, pie.

I hope you are right, as I quite like Visceral, and remember them fondly for Dead Space last gen.

I'm sure Hardline will move a couple of million on the brand name of "Battlefield" alone...
