HBO cable streaming is not exclusive to apple, apple is the launch partner it will be on other services within days/weeks at most.

What conspiracy theories? It's always been clear that time warner have had the sense to appease cord cutters. They also profit massively from Internet provision as well as cable. Strong business model for the future huh?

You guys do realize that Time Warner Cable and Time Warner are not the same thing right??  In 2009 Time Warner Cable became its own independent company. The Time Warner that does Film and Television compant hasn't had anything to do with it in over 6 years...      That Time Warner is the one who OWNS HBO...  Time Warner Cable has to pay Time Warner a fee to use the name even..

Supposedly this is a timed thing. It will make no sense for HBO to block out all the other potential subscribers

There is no "supposedly".   HBO has officially stated this is a 3 month exclusive for Apple..

Relieved. I usually don't get into a huff over these kinds of things, but seriously, I don't want cable and this will work perfectly alongside my hulu and netflix. I'm going to estimate a special offer will release soon too. Like 6 months for $60 etc etc.
