I'm pretty sure they did research and decided to make an alternate universe to suit themselves.  Same as ensemble with age of mythology.  History is boring so might aswell make your own.  Anyway Kratos is a sexy beast in the universe he lives in. There ain't no spinning that no matter how much of an alternate universe you know about  !

First of all, learn the difference between pedophilia, hebephilia and ephebophilia. Second of all, it has been widely accepted in the academic world that pederasty is not pedophilia (or rather hebephilia).

Third of all, every society and time has its own morals, virtues, laws and ethics. Concepts such as ethics are not universal and never will be. Chances are high that people in the future will look with disgust at some of our customs even though they're completely normal to us.

For example the word "murder" had a totally different meaning in the middle ages. If you announced you were going to kill a person and then did it in front of let's say a church then it wouldn't be considered murder. If you killed the person without announcing it up front and by stabbing him in the back in a dark alleyway then it would be considered murder.

You can't judge a person because he did something that was considered acceptable in his society/time.

No one in antiquity had a problem with slavery, not even ex-slaves. Spartacus for example never sought to abolish the institution of slavery (even though Hollywood desperately tries to make us believe that). Are we going to discredit all great Greeks and Romans now because they were slaveholders? Because if so you might as well discredit the Bill of Rights as it was written by slaveholders.

Kratos is a "sex machine" in the GoW universe because the writers desperately tried to make Kratos look cool. This doesn't change the fact that he's ugly as hell. No matter how much you try to spin it.

Oh and just because you think history is boring doesn't make it true.

Thanks for the history lesson but it doesn't changed the fact he's a sexy beast.  Many woman go for a ripped guy with a shaved head.  Just because he's not your idea of sexy doesn't he's not others.  Kratos is both cool and sexy hence why he's on that list.  You might not like that fact,  but I sure as hell do. That's the only bit of history in this thread that counts!!
