If this interpretation of his joke is correct, he is denying the existence of women and minorities who don't agree with him and who don't want a bunch of (mostly white and mostly male) people to speak for them or co-opt them for their own agenda. I'm not sure if that's where he was coming from, but that's why people are crying racism and sexism at him.

well the sexism part is 100% wrong.
Im pretty sure the racist part is too.

I laughed a little at the joke. I also think saying 50 when it should have been 42 is part of the humor. There is no racism here

I havnt seen the intire thing.

I only saw the video that got linked that was reported to be incident (the sock puppet thingy).

 

I belive the authur of this thread? made up that "joke" as a exsample of something simular to what he would have said or some such.

ei. its not actually something he (tim schafer) said.

 

My point is,.... probably shouldnt be so quick to brand someone a racist, for something he himself (I think? could be wrong) hasnt even said.

So he supports Sarkeesian, and he mocks and ridicules #NotYourShield...

Those two certainly go hand in hand. Another thing that usually comes with that, is that the person in question is utterly retarded(willfully uninformed and willfully ignorant), biggoted, sexist and racist. But those are of course silly reasons for disliking a person.

I saw the video, and did not come away feeling he "mocked and ridicules" it.
