I don't usually cheat but when I do, I never really minded it, though most of my cheating was just goofing around and such.

I used to do that, along with Tom Nook's codes, on Animal Crossing GC all the time to get Bells and NES games, but then my favourite villagers began to move away and then my memory card corrupted so I stopped.
I cheated on the Capra Demon boss in Dark Souls. I don't give a fuck.
Multiplayer cheating is off limits though.
i generally cheat after i get bored with a game, or it has become too tedious, and/or i don't have the time to play it through or dont WANT to play it through normally.
Or if it becomes a necessity, such as reaching a save point with no ammo and having no way to gain more before a major battle, or like with fallout, being caught in a situation where as soon as you exit a building you are killed by a high level monster no matter how many times you try and cheatings the only way to temporarily avoid it.
all singleplayer stuff though, people who cheat online either to beat other players or to gain an artificially high score, are the scum of the earth.
I used a glitch to get Epona in OoT 3D instead of actually winning the race, because the horse controls like shit, which is made worse in a race. No thanks.

I feel the same way.
My goal is to see the end credits. That is all.
I remember playing one game--I think it was Blaster Master for the NES. You could pause the game while the boss was taking damage and when you unpaused, it would be dead. It made me feel like a pimp!
I view people that use exploits and cheats as people with no skill. I admit I cheated back in Diablo 1 days (because the game was so hacked and almost everyone cheated) but it was only fun for a few days. After that it got pretty fucking lame with everyone using god mode or fake god mode (looks like you are dying but health always refills), etc..
Well, if its a game like GTA that doesn't really have a story and that's it then it can be fun to mess around, but in story-based games i feel so guilty if i do go on walk-throughs or cheat because it feels like i'm taking fun out of the game even though i don't know how to get through a certain part of the game D:
