why is Samus not one of the poll options? would be a great pick, very versatile

Right?  I'm not sure the OP knows about Metroid, maybe.

Superman is weak against magic, no? So Zelda and Kid-Icarus characters, as well as Robin, could likely kill him with some effectiveness.

First off. Kirby can't beat anyone. Seriously, Elektra could probably beat him. Kirby can't suck up any particularly strong enemy that puts up a fight, and not every enemy gives him an ability. Even a guy like Poppy Bros can't be sucked up until rendered unconscious.

As for who could take out Marvel's more powerful characters... not many. Samus could take out guys like Spider-man, and maybe Iron man. Would lose to guys like Thor. Mewtwo's psychic powers make him formidable, but Marvel's psychics outclass him. It's also pretty unclear, if we go by games, what limits he or any other Pokemon have. They claim to be universe creators and such, but can be hurt by average Pokemon. I'm actually just going to throw out Pokemon altogether.

Shulk *spoilers* could theoretically take out the Marvel U as a whole. The Monado literally controls the fabric of the universe, so if its potential was unleashed Shulk could literally become god. He is conceivable as powerful as infinity gauntlet thanos, but he doesn't show that level of mastery in the games. There are marvel characters with similar abilities (scarlet witch) who are more adept at using them, even if not as powerful.

Unless we want to count Bayonetta, there isn't anyone in the Nintendo U I can think of that can physically compete with the Hulk, Sentry, Juggernaut, or Thor. Few characters that can really compete with lower powered heroes like Spider-man or Captain America.

this is very interesting....

The video is wrong on most of the details.  Kirby did not survive a planet being destroyed.  That was just vines disappearing from popstar which didn't seem to damage anything.  There is indication the Warp Star actually travels at Warp speed.  Etc etc.

Kirby couldn't beat Krillin.

No one. I believe there is no one that could defeat any of them.

This is the biggest stretch of all, given there are a LOT of Nintendo characters and a LOT of Superheroes AND Villains to choose from between both Marvel and DC.  I think one can easily prove that at least a single Nintendo character could "beat" a single Marvel/DC Superhero/Villain.

Well, sort of.  He's not weak against magic in the same way he's weak against Kryptonite.  He's more resistant to magic than your average human, but stronger magic can still hurt him.  So, thing's like Pit's arrows probably would hurt him, but he's still fast enough to dodge them with ease, and strong enough to beat Pit with minimal fuss.  Same for Robin and Zelda.  Maybe Pit with the great sacred treasures would prove problematic or something.

I think some people are forgetting that we can include Nintendo enemies as well. The question only said "characters" after all.

I was kinda thinking Ganondorf. According to Navi the reason why you needed the light arrows was because nothing seemed to penetrate his aura of darkness, which was clearly magical so it should defend just as well against a Kryptonian Pummeling as any other 'non-Master Sword' one. Since he has suprising fast moving projectiles with homing abilities and is capable of being quite a tank/damage sponge... I feel like Ganondorf could deal with Superman.

Superman is just damaged normally by magic so I don't consider it as a weakness and I don't consider him invulnerable to physical attack since strong enough punches will hurt him.

If I put it Pokemon chart then

Damage Normally By - Any magic related attacks.

Weak to - Kryptonite, Red suns

Immune to - none

Resistant to - Any physical attacks and it took maxwell years to mind control Superman so I guess he is quite resistant to TP aswell?

Kirby could probably take on the Hulk, but I assume would lose to Iron man.

Samus could beat Iron man, but lose to the Hulk.

Who else?

Iron Man can lift 10T. I don't see how Samus can win.
