So, many people rate the Order <7/10 because game length+price does not add up. Now that the game has been repositioned at $40, which one could say is a pretty fair price for a new release for what you get does the value proposition increase enough to give the game decent legs?

A lot of people would have read reviews and decided to hold off for price cuts because most reviews would have given them the impression that the game is worth playing but it's not worth paying $60 to play it.

Going off on a bit of a tangent, if Sony tracked the rental situation with this game, and if it is a very popular renatl, it would be an indicator that making a sequel that improves in many areas, esp length, is a risk worth taking even if sales don't meet a break even target.

It's rather concerning to see the MCC bundle underperforming so far.  But there are a few logical reasons.  One is that it's Halo, and most Halo hardcore Halo fans probably jumped onboard early.  Second, these are old games.  One of them is remastered with Blur cut scenes but that's the only really new thing (and BTW, it's very jarring to go from the good Halo 4 level cutscenes in Halo 1 remastered to the amazing  Blur cutscenes in Halo 2 to the very underwhelming and dated look of Halo 3 and then back to Halo 4 looks in Halo 4.  They should have given this more time in the oven to at least update 3's graphics if at all possible).  Lastly, the MCC was the laughing stock of the gaming world for something like two+ months.  I'd bet a lot of people still don't know if it is fixed or not.  It will be interesting to see if the MCC debacle will hurt Halo 5 sales.

Once the AC bundle is gone, it should at least perform better than it is now.  How much better, well have to wait and see.

I dont think the CE sales correlate with other retailers. I check 4 local shops and none had any left for preorder. So if people want the CE they have to order from Amazon. But I do think the CE is cutting into the sales of the base game on Amazon. If the CE were still out of stock there would be a better chance BB could pass these card. For all we know many of the cards could be for people to buy BB digital!

it depends. I doupt everyone has gone online with it yet. Some may have bought but have not gotten around to it yet. We still have the weekend sales to add before we get a 1st week total. I think it could be around 400k all formats 1st week.

50,000 the second week, and 30,000 the third, 180,000 in March NPD.

Usually a game dropped by 60 to 80 % the second week, but this game will have a very good legs.
