Wasnt it announced e3 2013? has there been news since? or has it gone quiet since then?

It's still being worked on as far as I know but probably slowly. I cant imagine it's a priority

Have you slept through last year's E3? Lots of new concept art and a good sign that it's actually in development. I kinda expect it in 2016.

DICE is busy working on Battlefront. Mirrors Edge is probably of little importance to them right now.

Sadly, not a high priority.

That has been the status quo since 2008. So it's less of a "right now" issue and more of a "DICE and EA are assholes" issue.

Last thing we heard about it was that Anita Sarkeesian was supposedly advising DICE, but that apparently turned out not to be true. She is actually replacing Faith as the main character and the game is stuck in development hell as they try to figure out how a first person game works when all you can see is your own nose.
