Why is it always when a game get bad reviews, that people think the problem is with the reviewer not the game.
Maybe the game is just not that good.
Video games already get pretty high reviews scores compare to movies.

Is not jumping around, is taking a shoot, jump, climb and keep shooting with a better angle or flanking your enemies all of that are Uncharted shooting mechanics.
"I'm taking about pressing L2 to aim and R2 to shoot. The order blew me away in that regard. "
Well ten tell us why? Why The Order blew you away in that regard? It does nothing new, original or refreshing like you claimed

I actually went into Beyond looking forward to seeing how the game transitions from a relatively normal life to that post apolyptic looking scene. In reality, that never happened because that was just a teaser ending. All I'm saying is that scene shouldn't have been in the ad because its misleading of what actually occurs in the game. Some other movie/game doing something similar doesn't make it okay. Assuming you haven't done so already, I suggest watching the Angry Joe review of The Order. I think he does a pretty good job of summing up what reviewers disliked about The Order. He still thinks the game worth an experience, but that doesn't mean it deserves a high score. |
I always recognized it would be a divisive game given how reviewers were reacting to it, but I expected reviewers to be more like "Some will love it some will hate it" rather than "it's terrible rarara this is what's wrong with gaming prevent this from happening again!" Like there's a reason Sony has Bloodborne and the Order coming out they're for 2 different crowds. I personally have a lot more fun with it than any Souls game I've played (and I platinumed Demon's Souls) but I don't dock the Souls games points for that they're just for a different crowd.
Yeah the marketing team could've done a better job it's a very particular set of circumstances that happened to work out negatively for you. In the future I wouldn't assume too much about when a certain scene takes place. At least it wasn't like The Grey where they make the wolf fight the central part of the trailer and advertisements then it's just teased at the end or ASM2 where they advertised the Rhino fight and cut away only to have that EXACT same thing happen in the movie. I mean those I was mad about but this one is just an annoyance.
