Metroid 3D! I'm predicting that nintendo will announce this at E3 and this will be what they use to push the 3DS over the holidays. The 3ds has gotten mario, zelda, kirby, star fox(remake) and Pokemon alongside many other huge nintendo IPs but the one missing that everyone notices is Metroid.

I do believe we'll also get a Metroid announcement for Wii U but that will launch in 2016 if anything..

So what do you think? Is this a possiblity or am I just crazy?

I think you're probably right. Metroid + Fire Emblem and maybe Youkai Watch 3 in Japan will be the 3DS' holiday lineup.

I'm thinking that it'll be Super Mario 3D Land 2: The x golden coins.

Not crazy, no, but unlikely..

If Nintendo can localize Fire Emblem 14 quickly, it may just sneak into 2015 holiday (unlikely as well though)

I think Metroid 3DS, a game in the style of Super Metroid, is coming summer of 2016, with Metroid U, a game in the style of Metroid Prime, is coming holiday 2016, all to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Metroid.

Wasn't Metroid for the 3ds canceled?

Metroid isn't really a big Holiday title, I'm expecting the big game for the 3DS this Holiday to be the same game as the last Holiday, and the one before that: Pokemon.

It's just going to be another copy paste Pokémon game sadly.

In terms of boosting hardware I'd have to give the advantage to Metroid since there are already 2 main Pokémon games on the system.
In terms of overall profit for Nintendo Pokémon would obviously win.
