Great news. I wonder if the same will happen with Persona 5 in which only Japan gets the PS3 version and the rest of the world gets the PS4 version.

Couldn't Nintendo take care of the localization and publication processes? I'm sure the only thing SE would have to do is translate the game (even to english only, just like Atlus) and ask Nintendo to bring the game to the west. Just how expensive is a localization? It seems to be a bigger deal than I initially thought.


Square doesn't want to go through all this because of costs and manpower. They're also doubting the profit that the game would bring in the West.

While that may be true, it's good that Sony (I'm guessing they had something to do with only getting a PS4 western release) is at least trying to get Japanese studios to put more focus on the PS4.

A lot of games made are still easily capable of being on last gen so I suppose a forced transition will have to happen at some point. I just think this game looks really bad for a full priced PS4 game.
