Well, i think these new tomb raider dont really have such huge fanbase, a lot of thé buyers are just thé mass public, the Kinda who wont necessary buy 2 games that look similar in a period with 4 big games by months

 

I think thats one of the reasons they accepted the deal, win win situation, and of course a good amount of cash helped too

in truth you can't really blame them. How would sales of their game be when released on a console that is getting uncharted 4 around the same time. I think it would have been a bloodbath. This deal with ms was probably a very easy sell. Here take $50M, make the game exclusive to Xbox for 3-6 months then you can release it on the PS4 after the uncharted craze has died down. 

I would have done the exact same thing if I were them.

Just the time to allow us to play Uncharted 4. I' ll say it will come out on PS4 the spring or summer 2016, 6 months after the release on xbox platform.

Its a situation where everybody wins except gamers, PS4 gamers have to wait( well they dont really lose anything, especially if they get a better version within more content ) and X1 games are taken for fools , like new buyers

Still can't resist the BS PR talk and Gamespot just does a puff piece.

"partnering up with Microsoft helps boost the profile of the Tomb Raider franchise to new heights." Sure man, you boost that profile all the way to missing out on a few million in holiday sales this year. If they thought it would be such a huge profile boost and do wonders for Tomb Raider why didn't they make TR a fully Xbox exclusive franchise? After all MS is a great partner.

Come on man, The BF and COD crowds can't be more polarizing. Two very very different takes on annualized FPS blockbusters. 

I firmly believe that if uncharted 4 and tomb raider release within a month of each other, tomb raider sales not the PS4 would only be great if it comes before uncharted. If it comes after or around the same window, then uncharted sales will cannibalize tomb raider sales. And qw all know that inbgaming first week/month sales are extremely important. 

Hell, even BF avoids the COD release window.
