Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo at E3: What do you expect?

Do prefer the digital event format or the conference?

Digital Event - Less bloo... 137 67.49%

Conference - Better atmos... 66 32.51%

Total:203

I'm hoping for a real conference, the Directs at E3 just don't feel the same.

They'll continue their strategy though, if I'm being realistic, and have another E3 Direct. At least I like the Treehouse idea.

As for content, Zelda U is a given. Furthermore some games that aren't released by then like Xenoblade X, Star Fox and Fire Emblem 3DS. There wold be some new side-stuff, like a port of Mario Sunshine for N3DS or localization of Fatal Frame. Then I expect some new collaboration title and a big first party reveal for both consoles. Could be a Metroid, could be something else, like Animal Crossing for WiiU or an amiibo-centric game. I'm not seeing redesigns of hardware or announcements of price-cuts or anything.

Around the Network

1. New loyalty program to replace club Nintendo. Combines XBox-esque achievements, but converts them to coins. Works with a (finally) unified account system.

2. Something from EAD Tokyo 1 for god's sake. Do you realize that the last full game they developed was Mario Galaxy?

3. Pokemon Z. Pokemon has quietly become annual.

4. Smash Bros DLC.

5. QOL stuff.

6. Skylandersish Amiibo game. Somewhere between Skylanders and Animal Crossing.

7. Teaser for next DS system.

Wait what? If so my mind is blown! I thought they made Galaxy 2 and 3D World!

Guess I'm the only one who prefers the live conference

While I do want them to do a live conference again, I do see the pluses of Direct and Treehouse method.

i understand the reason behind people saying the digital show is better. but the ultimate reality is that a confrence generates more hype and excitment, for what ever reason that may be, it seems to do so. and for that reason, they should do a live show. however i do expect another digital event this year, i dont see riggie and iwata (dont care about the spelling of either of their names) to suddenly to get in touch with the market.

also the "treehouse" name is just plain stupid, seriously, its childish. just call it a live show/event or something normal like that. the "treehouse" doesnt even convey the message of what the hell the treehouse is.

again, i do understand why some people like the digital event method more, but what i am trying to say is that whats best for nintendo is probably the live show. either way though, its not like their event this year will cause excitment for people other than their own fans, nintendo just screwed up this gen, it wont make a difference.

its called the treehouse as in all NOA employees

Treehouse live is a live presentation of the treehouse playing the games at E3

Metroid, Paper Mario, Animal Crossing, new IP, amiibo game. This is what I'm expecting. Plus footage of stuff we already know about.

All wrapped in a hilarious digital event just like last year!

It has been stated that we'll hear more Animal Crossing news in 2015 and it has been semi-confirmed that new Metroid games are in development. Also, Retro has been working on a new game for quite a while, so why not?

Metroid U and Diddy Kong Racing for Wii U unveiled.

Punch-Out! For 3DS

Amiibo Universe for Wii U *and* 3DS game will be the big announcement.

Splatoon DLC packs.

No Animal Crossing for Wii U (sorry folkes).

Lotsa Zelda, Star Fox, etc.

*Maybe* a teaser of the Fusion platform, where Iwata shows off the hardware and perhaps some tech demos.
