Forums - Gaming - Survival Horror Game, Bizerta: Silent Evil Annouced for Wii U, Cancels Vita version(interesting reason why)

I dont own a wii U I would have got it on Vita. Hopefully it gets enough attention and Sony lift some restrictions and I dont really want this to be a playstation mobile game

Will this be eshop exclusive or also retail?

eShop exclusive, most likely. They might be able to pitch this to some publisher, who'd have the power to make this anything other than a digital-only release. That said, unless it's Nintendo itself, it's really unlikely.

Darn. I might be in the minority these days, but I hate digital only.

It's basicalled moved from being a mobile game (PlayStation Mobile is actually a mobile phone gaming platform that Vita just also happens to support) to a Wii U game, I'd suspect it'll be digital only.

The reason they will have been going with PSM is it's completely free to put your content out on it, I understand Sony just take a cut of any sales. However they'e also obviously kept it restricted, as they don't want bigger developers abandoning the native Vita environment where there are licensing fees to use PSM instead.

I wonder if Nintendo have quietly changed some terms/fees on Wii U to encourage more indie content which for this developer, made that the most attractive platform to make the game for when it was clear PSM wasn't going to cut it.

Looks interesting from screens. I'll be keeping an eye on it.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Resident Evil mixed with Silent Hill... I'm ready for this lol

No comment for Vita....

So he canceled the Vita version because there never was a Vita version?

It looks really good. I wonder why Nintendo doesn't make a deal with some indies and funds a limited retail release of some of the bigger indie games. It could help during the droughts in the eyes of the public that doesn't really use the eShop.

Probably due to the fact that they probably won't sell over 20,000, even if they do an ultimate indie bundle.  And getting stores to stock it will be a tuff buy. Way to much effort for probably little to no gain.

I think it could work. A bundle of popular indies in retail, advertisement in Sonic Boom levels and it could sell well enough, even with a limited release. And you could do the same with the 3DS. Imagine a Platformer Indie bundle, with Shovel Knight, Mighty Nº9 and Shantae. They could sell really well, even if they had a limited release. It would give Nintendo an even better reputation with indies.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

What an interesting name ...

Can't spell it without Silent Hill and Resident Evil ...

So download size restrictions kept it from coming to the Vita but I wonder why they didn't opt for a full license instead switching to the WII U in the middle of the development ...

Better than Resident Hill =P
