When you first get a PS3. By default the moment you put a game in the system it would start the game immediately once it identified the game. Without you doing anything. To make i where you have to manually choose to start a game you have to go into the system settings and turn off auto game start. 

Not really. Despite the increased complexity of newer game consoles its still pretty easy to just start up a game if that's all you're interested in doing.

Yes. System startup times got worse as more stuff was added in. I just want the game to boot. I'd like a start game imeditanly option. No menu loading what so ever. It's bypassed and the game is loaded first.

I miss it because companies now release unfinished products and patch it later. Now you have huge day one patches and games filled with bugs (I'm looking at you Bethesda). Patches are nice but companies rely on them way too much these days.

Ya, I don't like my loading times being longer than the actual game itself

It's convenient if you only use your console to play games.

The Wii U quick start menu tried to fix this problem so it isn't that much of an issue for me..
