Japan – Xenoblade New 3DS Cover Plates Announced

Nintendo have announced some very beautiful Xenoblade cover plates for the New 3DS for Japan. Upon release they will cost ¥2000 and launch alongside Xenoblade Chronicles 3D on April 2nd.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3D is a New 3DS exclusive remake of the Wii classic RPG developed by Monolith Soft. The original game was originally announced at E3 2009 under it’s original name of Monado: Beginning of the World. It was later renamed in 2010 to Xenoblade in honor of creative director Tetsuya Takahashi who originally created the Xeno series for Namco. The game follows Shulk and his group of companions as they defend their homeland on the Bionis from violent robotic creatures who are invading from the Mechonis. The Bionis and Mechonis are two gigantic kaiju gods who were fighting to the death and eventually froze in time.

That looks pretty and tear inducing, but I'm fine here with my N3DSXL. Wouldn't have upgraded for the small N3DS anyway.

Damn it 'tendo. No good reason why XL doesn't have replaceable cover plates.

This actually looks sweet. Still, I'm gonna get the XL version some time down the road. I have no idea why only the regular N3DS has these plates. So much lost profit.



Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

Nintendo need to release this, in other region, or perhaps every other type ass well. If it coming to US region i will sell my old 3SD and buy this, damn that XL black and red, i am falling in love.
