I need you to tell me a multiplatform game which sold more on PS3 than on 360 in North America. Take your time...

Infact, tell me a multiplatform game that sold more on PS3 than on 360, counting Europe and NA... since Japan really doesn't buy much GTA.


 typical vg ignorance, and no ability to look at the big picture.

GTA usualy did 54/56% sales in NA, wow not.  A mere 4/6% really not the big deal you make it out to be.

 GTA is being relesed after GT5p and a bit before MGS4.   You have 3 of the most popular games coming so close to each other.  PS3 GTA will benefit being released around the time of other huge historical PS franchises. 

GTA games are long term sellers, every big PS3 release GTA sales will go up.  And 2008 is full of huge PS3 exclusives to help boost GTA sales.  MS has nothing untill Gears, and its just another shooer a genere MS has already milked to death.

 Look at multi platform releases, before 360 version would kill the PS3 version, then Cod4 was 2-1 Assasins 1.8-1 and now DMC is 1-1 with PS3 version selling a bit more.  Add after 18 months PS3 version of Cod4 is selling 30% better then the xbox version, PS3 DMC is selling twice as good.

 Its rather easy to see whats gonna happen.

End of 2009, maybe early 2010. PS3 will be totally outselling XBox 360 world wide and the PS3 will be dirt cheap to buy and attracting more customers.

Devil May Cry sold 862,174 for 360 and 692,100 for the ps3, fail.

according to the chartz (VGChartz > Games > Chartz > Devil May Cry 4)

PS3 had .97 million sales
360 had .93 million sales?

Considering that the PS3 is barely outselling the 360 WW by 50k units it would take the PS3 about 140 weeks to pass the 360 at that rate. Plus, the 360 is getting price drops now and the PS3 will NOT have anymore price drops for a while despite what the fanboys think. The PS3 will not catch the 360 for at least 2 years, if ever. Plus, the Wii has already won this generation and Sony will still have an overall loss for this generation after having huge profits the last 2 generations. Also, BluRay will not be some huge technology that makes Sony lots of money like so many fanboys believe it will. Solid state drives and faster download speeds will increase the popularity of downloadable content and there might be something better than BluRay that comes along in the next couple of years before BluRay can even make a dent in DVD sales.
