Forums - Nintendo - Aonuma Says Zelda Wii U Will Push Hardware With “As Large A World As Can Be Realised”

It's all well and good saying that, but you really have to follow through. And without anything (really) to show yet, they've got to make sure that the game delivers when it releases.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Hopefully that doesn't harm the quality of the story and gameplay.

Zelda doesn't need a good story to be great Imo.but how would this harm the story?

It's a good plus though.

Maybe they will focus too much on the world and forget the story?? idk, i didn't really think that post trough (I was in a hurry)

I'm now a bit worried. Zelda games have consistently had a problem with the world lacking content, and having a huge world is likely going to stretch existing content thin rather than help.

I mean, it's possible that if you can auto-pilot Link to a destination like you could in Phantom Hourglass that you could use a crafting menu while traveling, but even that could pose its own problems.

Not that it's very hard to push the hardware of the Wii U.

I mean it's basically just like 2 kilograms.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

haha its okay :D. And i understand your worries. Id rather have the best mix of all 3 instead of them focusing on just the world.

I think, Zelda U should be more full of life, than Skyward Sword was. SS was very empty, even the enemies were so rare in this game. Like in Link to the Past would be perfect, everything there lived.

Are you sure you're not talking about Twilight Princess?

Lol, actually Wii U is deceptively heavy, it took me by surprise when I took it out of the box. Or perhaps im just a weakling :)

Are you sure? I mean, SS was the game with few areas all packed with enemies, puzzles and collectables.
