I disagree, about the hockey analogy that is. Both Mario Lemeiux and Bobby Orr were either as good, close or better than Gretzky.
In regards to Miyamoto, I respect the man immensely, I grew with his games. Loved Mario, liked Zelda.... sadly, I could care little about him today. But I still do respect the man's talents and vision.
^^Reading over my last post, I realized I accidentally sounded like a jerk. Sorry about that :S I just wanted to highlight some stuff I wrote that evidenced what you said.
Shigeru Miyamoto is so awesome that there are no games he cannot create, only games he chooses not to.
@Riot, fair enough, keep your tastes a secret. To prefer different games is fine and can't be argued, but to argue historical importance is another thing.
@ssj12, damn those are some balls to say that about Gabe Newell. I mean, he's awesome, but he's only magically dominated one genre, which kinda puts him at a disadvantage considering the ridiculously diverse library of games Miyamoto's blessed us with.
@Words of Wisdom, I finally understand your name.
''Hadouken!''
Seriously, we should ditch Chuck Norris jokes for Miyamoto jokes. He is the more awesome of the two.
