Like i said, popularity/sales/last 10 years/etc dont matter.

Marth: his franchise still gets games

Pit: got a game recently

Little Mac: got a game on the Wii that reviewed and sold well.

Duck Hunt Dog: a character no one asked for.

You literally just skipped your on point. Pit was in SSBB (2008 release) last game in 1989.

DHD was a character alot of people wanted actually. Just didn't seem possible but of Course they pulled him off. (also 25years+)

Anywayz, anything you say will get countered. Every character on the list so far has a chance, even if slim.

Your problem is, they have to be popular/sales must be high/has to have a game in the past 10 years/you have to know who they are to qualify for SSB. Which is all wrong (especially the last point).

Yes there are characters that have a >>> chance to be in than others due to popularity. Example Captain Toad > Saki or Dark Samus > Prince Sable. But thats NOT Everything!
