Maybe for thracia, but the 2nd remake on Ds got a fan-translation, and it work perfectly : ) And the ds is freezone too.

And didn't Blazing Sword introduce the avatar to the series?

Yes, Blazing Sword was the first to introduce the avatar, although it didn't do a particularly great job with it.

No worries. I actually always wanted to try Thracia, since I've heard great things, but for one reason or another I never got around to trying it. Maybe some day.
