I actually was just thinking about a direct sequel to MM. They've already done OOT and MM on 3DS, why not follow them both up with an original title?

There won't be another Zelda game on 3DS unfortunately.
Predictions for LT console sales:
PS4: 120M
XB1: 70M
WiiU: 14M
3DS: 60M
Vita: 13M
i hope they remaster the ds zelda game. i would love to see my little train in 3d...
I'd like them to build on a link between worlds. Add some new mechanics and give it a stronger plot and characters. I feel there's a lot more they could do in that direction.
I think the next handheld Zelda will be on the next handheld and I'd be fine with that. It would make an amazing launch title.

I don't think that we'll see another Zelda 3DS game, as the 3DS is basically done, but I agree; I'd like to see a sequel to MM. Since MM had only young Link, I think it would only be appropriate to end the now trilogy with adult Link set 7 years later.
Just make it as weird and different as MM. Stay away from Hyrule and Termina and do something new.
EDIT: I actually made a huge thread about it last year lol.
I actually think Zelda could be a good launch title for the next handheld.

I dont think they should do another zelda game for it. But if they do, i would like a sequel to links awakening just like they did a sequel to a link to the past.
No console has ever had more than 3 Zelda games, so I think Zelda on 3DS is done at this point
