The AF oddity seemed like a fluke at first, yet it's evolved into a recurring curiosity.

1080P > AF for me. No question. That being said, I hope they release a new sdk that corrects this.

I have read eurogamers article its very biased and anti ps4,

they recomend the x1 version despite having lower resolution over the ps4 just because they claim psn is more unstable. No proof, nothing for their claim. No benchmark or video proofing whos server is better. These claims are annoying, over the last month xbox live went segnificantly more down than psn i remember.

My online systems: Mac M4 Apple sillicon+16 GB, PC Vega 56+Amd Ryzen+32GB DDR4, Xbox Series X, PS4 Pro, Switch Lite, Playstation Vita TV, PS3, PSP

My retro systems: Wii U, DSi, Xbox, PS2, Dreamcast, N64, PS1, Sega Saturn, Neo Geo AES, SNES, Evercade

They are running on the same servers.  It's impossible to be different outside of Live or PSN being down, which is rare and has happened to both lately.

Eh no thanks id take 1080p and better framerate over poor AF all day long ,

That blurry thing going on in the PS4 versions of those games would get annoying, but tbh I wouldn't be paying that much attention to the ground tbh.

These arcticals are becoming less and less about how the game performs as a whole and more and more about the diff between versions. If someone has a PS4 there not gonna run out and buy an X1 for this game and vice versa.

are these devs still used to PS3s hw coded AF presets and just copy pasted the most efficient values they had for that to the PS4 side of their software?

in the PS3 the nVidia chip itself was the reason for very angle dependent filtering (no software workaround for that), funnily enough in the same GPU gen ATI/AMD pretty much got rid of "anisotropic" filtering and made it almost isotropic, which has been the standard for years now

Summary of the story...Get the PC version, if you don't care about best performance make an biased choice...=p

I've noticed people all over the internet can see the AF differences. Resolution ... not so much ...

The PS5 Exists.
