It is crazy. I thought this fad had passed as anyone I knew who bothered with it stopped months ago. I tried it and got bored 15 minutes in and never went back.

It's a casual game with skinners box thrown in and nice shiny icons and noises, it's free (apparently) and does it's job to a degree, whoop whoop?.
I don't understand why we'd be focusing on the casual markets/group when none of us here are as casual as someone's grandma and by that I mean knows nothing of gaming outside tetris.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
I tried Candy Crush nearly two weeks ago and I was bored within 10 minutes. I don't see the fun in it at all. 150 million...how..

If that's the case (and it most likely is) I'm out as well. Gonna bury myself in my sheer endless amount of backlog games. |
Like shooting 20 hours at a cave for some loot may drop is so much better...
Hooray for Candy Crush players, I guess.
Yeah, like a lot of other people here, I don't get the appeal for this game at all
"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
I've played a handful of good mobile games, and proudly, I've never even downloaded this one.
I'm fairly certain a lot of smartphone phenomenons are being driven by the female crowd.
Women play more smartphone games on their phones than their male counterparts, I read that in a recent study.

Because their is a big group of console die hards who don't like the evolution of a growing group of gamers enjoying games on smartphones.

Reminds me of the group of folks who didn't like the evolution of their kids playing video games on their consoles or computers instead of going outside and doing what they did for fun.
I don't think the hardcore would like the other group "evolving" much though since it's obviously seeped and affected them in ways they don't already like, some may claim that's evolution but you can't say it's a must required aspect to be stapled to all gaming, they are evolving their way and that's good for them but I don't think the mobile casual market should be influencing or changing how hardcore gaming oeprates.

it's not because it's all based on the same concept:
1. get people used to repetitiveness
2. get them addicted
3. profit
basic slotmachine tactics. don't fall for it.
