what no one suggested to watch subbed anime to learn the words and pronunciations?

Kanji is what defeated me in my quest to become fluent in Japanese.

I learned Hiragana and Katakana fine, even learned to speak it conversationally, but I just couldn't memorize so many kanji...

I have a quite unorthodox way of learning japanese. Basically, I buy a Japanese game, and I translate all the kanji in the dialogue as I go through the story part. Darn tedious. But after I got through the tutorial part ( which took a month ), I could recognise many words without translating. Well, only after I had a good grasp of hiragana and katakana though.

You don't have to worry only about kanji if you want to understand it completely. You also have to look at the verb conjugation.

Dont use anime to learn, don't you frigging dare.

Pro tip, most anime, fansubbed or official, is miles of of whats actually being said.

Anime will get you clueless weeaboo level at best.
