I really want to buy a new headset, but I don't do wires. It's 2015. Problem is, there's a lot of old info about if the Wii U even supports them. Some say it does and others say it doesn't. And there's literally no info on the subject past like March of 2013.

Anyone know first hand? Any recommendations? I'm not buying a wired headset, so that's out of the question.

I would recommend Playstation Gold Wireless headset as I have it and love it. I'll check on my WiiU tomorrow to see if they work.

pretty sure the ps4 gold wireless headset works, but you have to plug the talkback cable into the gamepad. It's not like your plugging it into your wii-u though.

Every headset with one 3.5mm jack for both audio and microphone should work (one of my old PC headsets has two separate plugs).

EDIT: oh, I just realized that wireless headsets with a receiver at the 3.5mm jack don't exist...

Hm, that means you need a wireless headset for the TV and use the GamePad microphone...

If you're pluging a cable in, doesn't that mean it's wired? I don't want to deal with that.
