Guys, the thread is about Metal Gear, not Metal Gear Solid
He means the original MSX titles released prior to to MGS on PlayStation, Metal Gear & Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake.
Might want to edit the title of the thread to make it clearer.
MGS1 wouldn't be necessary, just a remaster of the GC version would be enough. MG1 and 2 however could see a significant upgrade. But I would prefer them to work on MGS6 since a new game is better than a simple remaster. If Kojima has enough resources to do both, something that I doubt because MGS games are taking 5 years to be released, them I would like to see remakes.

He says "MGS1 would be awesome, even better if they included MG1 and MG2", so I think he is referring to both MGS and MG1-2. And the title confused everyone, because he says "MG1-MGS2" and he probably means Metal Gear 2 instead of Sons of Liberty.

The title ("A total remake of MG1-MGS2) indicates pretty much from the very first MG game, Metal Gear 1 (MSX2/NES) all the way up to Metal Gear Solid 2 (PS2) lol.
Personally a MG1 & 2 remake would be more understandable and would love that. If refering to MG Solid 1 & 2 then that'd be nice but not as neccessary, for it that were the case then MG Solid 3 is a must as that is the best game in the series.
It will happen eventually, but first they'll make 5-10 pre-sequels with Big Boss :P
