What do you think of hammers in Smash Bros?

I don't see why you shouldn't use them, especially on the harder challenges. I really wish though that you could use it on the mission where you need to complete Classic 9.0 without dying once on the Wii U version. Sakurai is an insane man...

All of them except 10 hits or whatever it was. 

Huh, I actually never knew that. A bit disappointing that I used my hammers on those but I suppose it could be worse, I did all the other challenges without hammers.

I did that one earlier today.  It can be done with Ganondorf, the right equipment, and a lot of practice.

I use them on any I know I'll never get normally, either because they're too hard or because they're too tedious.
