Rumour: Could Xenosaga's KOS-MOS Be Appearing In Wii U Exclusive Project Treasure?

Nintendo Direct footage has people talking
Bandai Namco's big news from the recent Nintendo Direct broadcast was that it's working on a free-to-play downloadable title for the Wii U under the tentative title of Project Treasure.
The game is being pitched as an action title where 4 players work co-operatively to disarm traps, beat enemies and grab as much loot as possible, but very little else was actually revealed.
However, enough was shown to crank the rumour mill up to eleven, as some eagle-eyed people online have spotted that one of the faces in the reveal footage looks a lot like the character KOS-MOS From the Xenosaga series.
As Monolith Soft fans will know, Xenosaga is a franchise which appeared on the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo DS and is considered to be the spiritual successor to Square's Xenogears. Monolith Soft -- a studio founded by former Square staff -- is currently working on Xenoblade Chronicles X for the Wii U.

It looks pretty convincing, and given that both games are being published by Bandai Namco, there's a good chance that it could be true. Another theory is that the game is in such an early stage of development that Bandai Namco was forced to steal assets from some of its other games to create that "teaser" image.
