Just a heads up:

Stay out of The Order threads on Gaf and don't search for it on Youtube. Spoilers everywhere.

did you have to learn that the hard way? thanks by the way.

I may have done. I didn't watch anything but a comment has made me believe something I guessed could be true. Gaf has a dedicated thread for spoilers now so hopefully there won't be anything in the normal The Order threads.

The PS5 Exists.

"What can I say? Game is amazingly well-crafted in practically all aspects. Gameplay is tight, visuals are amazing and oh boy, alternate London setting is just overwhelming. Yes, the cinematic feeling is there from framing to lighting to narrative, but the gameplay is as good as any other good old classic TPS game, even better. I’m a big fan of Gears Of War, loved all four entries (Judgment too, had a blast playing it a year ago), but.. this.. THE ORDER 1886, is the superior game. For me, it is the defining TPS of this generation, can’t see any similar game doing better in the next few years at least. Kinda bitting my tongue here but, get ready for plenty of surprises because non of the trailers tell much."

This needs to be posted everywhere to shut up some of the idiots and trolls out there.

Making more threads will only keep the discussion going, in my opinion, and I don't think this is what the game deserves.

Why doesn't it deserve it? If it deserved all the bad news and opinions, it also deserves the good news and opinions. You might not like the game even though you didn't play it, but others might actually be interested. Let them get all the news they want before they decide to buy this game, you can just ignore it and move on.

From a Bish approved insider:

"Yes, in a very good way. I'll just repeat a bit of non spoiler stuff that I told viveks.

I was still playing Dying Light and picked up Evolve today. The only thing I have done is Install Evolve, Download the 3GB day 1 patch, redeemed my two codes along with my season pass code and went back to Sir Knight. I am going to stay away from the forum until the game launches out of respect for RAD. (met a few of them and they are really cool dudes.) I am going to say this before I go, the subtlety in the acting performances especially between Galahad and Lafayette is fucking amazing .This along with the gameplay, sound, setting , controls .... yea crows .... crows will be everywhere."

And this, my friends, is the reason why you do not reveal the majority of your game's content before it is even released.

Really excited about this game, could see beating it multiple times with all the cool weapons.

Yep. I think we'll see a lot of this this generation because clearly Sony have decided to try and keep a lot of the game hidden away. I'm all for that because I got a bot sick of knowing everything about a game before it was released.

I think this actually holds back sales because if you do not show the awesome parts of a game the interest in the game will be less. Look at Watch Dogs, it got tons of hype before it launched and that is why it sold so well.

I don't agree at all. The only reason people were worried about The Order is because of all the nonsense and hypocricy. The Order is currently the hot topic around the web but unfortunately every thread is filled with people armed to the teeth with their cliqued one liners. We'll see how good or bad it is soon but until then, everything that has been said about this game is complete nonsense. Once people get used to games being 'surprises' again, everything will be fine and the industry can start becoming interesting again.
