No Wii U optical discs can only hold a maximum of 25GB. It would've been embarrassing for Nintendo to release this game on two discs because they refuse to offer a dual layered 50GB option

But can the Wii U read dual layers?

The Wii could, so I would assume the Wii U can as well.

Makes you LOL at Wii U's storage capacity.

This will probably trigger a lot of people to finally buy an SD card or HDD for their console.

Buying a 2TB external hard drive for my Wii U has been one of the best things ive done. Its so great not having to worry about storage again, i urge anybody with a Wii U to do the same if you can afford to.

It clearly can't, otherwise this article wouldn't exist.

Physical it is then.

Nintendo Switch FC: SW-6340-7643-4233 aka Renji

Steam: Lee Roid

Nintendo/Monolith Soft really need to come out and clarify exactly what the deal is with downloading this game. Hopefully they explain more on Friday...

What if 50GB was actually not enough? :O

Nintendo missed a big opportunity by using proprietary discs. If they shelled out the cash for a bluray licence, this wouldn't be a problem and the Wii U would also have more prowess in terms of entertaiment and media playback.

Ah well, hopefully next time I suppose.

It can't even reach 50GB since Wii U optical discs are only single layered proprietary Blu-Ray discs that can only hold a max of 25GB

This whole fucking thing is so ambiguous.

Yeah, I'd guess it would be a pretty great investment! I haven't needed one yet, but I will soon. Shocking how you can't use memory cards...
