I don't think anyone should be worried about it. I'm sure that this was in their game plan and wanted to get away from mmo's for a while now.

honestly no, but as always with console wars, those who have a bad taste in their mouth for sony will tell you otherwise.
truth of the matter is simply it isn't a big deal, and if you are upset because it means the games might find their way to xbox or even wiiu, then you really need to take yourself to one side and question your attitude.

Here is a point again I have been pointing out, the way Sony is cutting and down sizing there would not be massive employed payouts to workers in the 100 of thousands of people employees that work at Sony currently, Sony's playstation section is only less than 9000 people total!

Its not going to be the main area that would be let go, it would be other sections, thus cutting and trimming only helps Sony because it will shrink the overhead! When people seem to say, Sony cannot thrive being only a game company..why not?

Why cannot Sony become just a game and entertainment company that defines itself as "sony" being only/just that? People say it would be a shadow of its former self, and yet with a debt in 100's of millions, with a junk bond rating was yet again able to create a very fast selling game console. Hell cutting out now of the dedicated Game handheld sysytem space after the PSVita and move that to software/services on smartphones as mainly App store distributions, and PSNow, PSvue and Playstation Mobile releases along with indie focused games for smartphone will generated more profit than Sony could have ever made with a dedicated Game handheld. And still have a large % of the mobile game handheld market because like apple and google and samsung Sony could make games for those smartphone and indirectly compete with Nintendo.

As a matter of fact that will also mean more focus for living room console development because with the way the ps4 is selling sofar it seems that is where their real selling power for playstation as a platform is, the living room.

No big deal SOE made pretty weak performance, all their games also needed IPs from different company like star wars and DC. Its too expensive to maintain with little hope for profit.

I don't know, should I? I didn't play their games but it's better to be sold out then bankrupt or worse. Hopefully, things work out for them.

PS4 owner will lose some cool free online games I guess. But, oh, well, there are worst stuff happening in the world.

Or in fact build on an existing Base for social gamers on a social MMO game that Sony already has several in the   works with  Micro  transactions and all. I know what they are and they were quite viable for money generation last generation.

Loose them? What do you mean by that, they were also on the PC, so how can The PS4 owner Loose some cool free online games when they even stated the games will still be released, and they said they were going to expand the platform base by offering other platforms also the games, it was already on PC anyway, so it was not exclusives at all let alone many on here excluded them anyway because they were not a physical release and were digital release, and top it off free 2 play, many really did not consider older Pc ports for Sony as a bullet point for games that make your console a must have on the release list anyway, so why is it now. Really such a big deal?

No, cause SOE wasn't SCE and didn't produce exclusive for console Playstation. Maybe with the money they gained, the' ll buy RaD or QD.
