Forums - Gaming - [PC Exclusives] Console gamers missed anything in 2014? What about 2015?

I was thinking about PC exclusives that would have been nice to have on consoles, wondering if consoles missed any great games in 2014. We often ignore PC exclusives around here, but i think this could be interesting.

If the game came to any console, you can't count it (so Transistor/Shovel Knight doesn't count, even if it would have been a great addition to the other consoles)

2014:
The only game i really "missed" was Divinity: Original Sin.
There were other cool things like Wasteland 2 or Hearthstone (if you like it), but Divinity was a real gem. I played it on PC, but i think it is a shame console gamers don't have access to it.

2015:
Here is a list of 2015 PC exclusives that maybe we end up wishing they were on consoles too. I know there are many more, but those are the ones that got my attention.

- Torment: Tides of Numenera
https://torment.inxile-entertainment.com/

Developer: inXile Entertainment (Wasteland 2)
Release: Q4 2015

About:  It is a spiritual successor of the critically acclaimed 1999 game Planescape: Torment. It will use the Unity game engine. Like its predecessor, Torment: Tides of Numenera will be primarily story-driven, giving greater emphasis on interaction with the world and characters, with combat and item accumulation taking a secondary role.

The game was successfully crowd-funded through Kickstarter in the first six hours of the 30 day project's launch on March 6, 2013. Torment: Tides of Numenera surpassed Obsidian Entertainment's Project Eternity as the most funded video game Kickstarter with a total of $4,188,927 pledged by 74,405 backers. The release date was initially set to December 2014 but later shifted to late 2015.

- Pillars of Eternity
http://eternity.obsidian.net/

Developer: Obsidian Entertainment (Never Winter Nights 2, Fallout New Vegas, South Park: The Stick of Truth)
Release: March 26, 2015

About: Pillars of Eternity is an upcoming fantasy role-playing video game from Obsidian Entertainment. It is notable for its crowd funding campaign, which raised $3,986,929, at the time the highest funded crowd sourced video game on Kickstarter. Together with the amount funded through PayPal, its final value rose to $4,163,208.

Pillars of Eternity will feature a party-based real-time-with-pause tactical gameplay, fixed isometric user interface for the game-world with two-dimensional pre-rendered backdrops. The mechanics will not be based on Dungeons & Dragons rules, and the plot and setting will be an original IP.

- Overwatch
http://us.battle.net/overwatch/pt/

Developer: Blizzard
Release: TBA

About: Overwatch is a first-person online shooter that is currently in development with Blizzard Entertainment. The game is made more for team combat with players working together using different heroes. These different characters all come with their own unique features such as reversing time, the ability to see through walls, flight, magical powers among various others.

An early beta is stated to be release early this year but Blizzard has yet to decide if Overwatch will free-to-play or not.

- Shadow Realms
https://www.shadowrealms.com/

Developer: Bioware, published by EA
Release: 2015

About: Shadow Realms is an upcoming action role-playing video game developed by BioWare's Austin studio. The game features 4v1 gameplay mechanics allowing players to select their Heroes from six classes, namely Warrior, Assassin, Wizard, Cleric, Ranger and Warlock or play against the Heroes as the Shadowlord.

Players can team up with three other heroes and take part in fast-paced tactical combat against a player-driven Shadowlord who controls creatures, sets traps and changes the environment, making the adventures and battles different each time. Just like the Heroes, the Shadowlord features broad character customization and shares the same 3rd person camera and control scheme. The key difference is that the Shadowlord remains unseen until they possess a monster, cast a spell or choose to reveal themselves.

- Dreadnought
https://www.greybox.com/dreadnought/en/

Developer: Yager Development
Release: 2015

About: The player is the captain of a large spacecraft and uses projectile weapons to attack. The player is able to choose between several classes of ships, each with drawbacks and advantages in categories like speed and size. The ships are massive and are intended to give the feel of being a commander, not a rogue bounty hunter. As a result, gameplay involves large amounts of strategy and positioning. In addition to positioning the ship and choosing targets, the player may also allocate power to various parts of the ship, strengthening some while weakening others. These areas include shields, weapons and engines.

- Darkest Dungeon
http://www.darkestdungeon.com/

Developer: Red Hook Studios
Release: 2015

About: The game is a side-scrolling gothic role-playing game with a turn-based combat system. The player explores dungeons with a four-hero team. While players can only explore with four heroes, they will be able to recruit and manage around a dozen heroes from the local tavern or caravan.

Players have to deal with the affliction system, which can make your party members start to behave oddly or just go nuts during the exploration of a dungeon.

These threads are actually better than threads making fun of consoles. Good job, OP.

Thanks o/

And i don't really think PC can make fun of consoles, i would be pretty sad if i didn't had access to Nintendo/Sony first party.

Darkest Dungeon is coming to PS4 and Vita. Was announced at PSX.
