Hey Guys,
There is something that I have been thinking about lately....
I am as excited for Xenoblade Chronicles X as any Wii U owner is, and can´t wait to play it later in the year... it is looking SO GREAT with every new bit of information and the game seems more and more as it will be THE game to have on Wii U, probably even taking home several GOTY 2015 awards...

Which brings me to my point: my concern is that... is this something that will ultimately work against The Legend of Zelda Wii U?

I mean, is Xenoblade Chronicles X going to be so epic and close to perfection that it will make the new Zelda (coming most likely during the holidays) appear not so great? will Zelda have a hard time surpassing Xenoblade? is such thing even possible? will Nintendo "allow" any other game taking the spotlight from its most important game of the year?

Please bear in mind that I am not talking about sales.... not at all

I am talking about game quality and review scores... Will people not remember Zelda WiiU so fondly because Xenoblade X left a much bigger impression? Will we look back and say "Zelda Wii U was great, but Xenoblade X was so much better" ??

I want to know what you guys think, sound off!

I've thought about this as well, but I don't think it will. Zelda is still one of the single most important releases on any Nintendo console, and Xenoblade is still a fresh IP that has to fully make its mark.

I hope so.because then thats two amazing games in one year. So yes it could outshine zelda which is no bad thing. Zelda will still sell more though

...Most people still don't know what Xenoblade is. Zelda will be fine.

How much have they shown of Zelda? Now compare that to all they've shown about X. I rest my case.

Not even close. X will be lucky to even sell half imo. In meta, it might be close though

No...I think that Zelda is an adventure game, whereas Xenoblade is an RPG. Totally different play styles. Certainly there will be parallels and comparisons that each will lose against the other...but overall I think they will be two awesome titles that showcase the WiiU's ability to feature large, immersive worlds.

From a technical perspective maybe, we still need to see more of Zelda. Ultimately though 2 epic AAA games on Wii U are gonna be very welcomed, I don't think either will be outshone by the other.
