Need for Speed + CoD = Twisted Metal? :P

isn't that more 'Rage' then?

Nah, I think TM fits more the bill. Maybe NFS was a bad choice because it's open world now, but CoD styled deathmatch is more TM. Rage would be Mad Max meets gaming or Fuel with guns and bad guys. Or we could look at it as a improved Borderlands since it doesn't have a lot of the former's shortcomings.

Tetris + Age of Empires. How do you even start with those?

Actually 'where to start' is the reason why I'm asking. I'm trying to get my creative juices flowing for it.

My immediate thought for that fusion is a game where you control a space colony and keep getting sent random 'building/compartment' modules, which reload every two minutes (causing you to lose the chance to use the current one if you haven't yet). Where you add these modules in relation to the rest of your colony modifies some of the details of exactly what they do. You don't get to control what your inhabitants do, but you do get little text inputs explaining what your politicians are feeling and thus warning you how they might react to different upgrades.

Obviously lining-up certain types of upgrades could have significant boons. I think the most obvious Tetris and Age of Empires touches would be having them develop the ability them change colony development stages and start being sent a wider range of modules at increased speed with every age. Image keeping track of all that while monitoring your opponents behavioural trends.

Something similar to the StarJeweled minigame from Starcraft 2?

I am afraid I've not played it, and your image is showing to me a large text image  statement saying:

Sorry, hotlinking images is not allowed.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Seems quite different to what I was thinking BUT I have to say I like this concept.

Dating sim fighting game.

Fifa and CoD. First person footbal with guns and kevin spacey?!

Edit: Actually you could end up with a non-Nintendo version of Mario Smash Football now that I think about it.

Add me on Xbox: DWTKarma

Just any FPS version of any genre that's not FPS... so an FPS turn based MMORPG. Most the time you'd just be standing there looking at things until it's your turn.

Hmm, pie.

Alien: Isolation + Rapelay, also known as Alien: Ripley Molestation

Already happens in the game anyway, so not a stretch.

Nintendogs Musou where you kill hordes of cute kittens by washing your puppy on the touchscreen.

StarCraft Just Dance

Counter-Strike Cooking Mama

Side scrolling Castlevania + Metal Slug or Contra

A steampunk/gothic metrovania game where you use the buttons for swords and melee weapons to damage enemy sheilds then you have ability to use guns on them with the right stick to finish the job. Some enemies can only be attacked with melee weapons while others can only be reached with guns. Aummo is scarce and melee weapons are always stronger to make combat more personal.

Edit: I just realized that this combination is not absurd and I should totally be a game developer.
